Hausvogteiplatz was considered the center of Berlin's fashion world in the 1920s. Erdmannsdorfer Büstenfabrikate GmbH was first mentioned in the Berlin address books in 1911. The company moved several times around Hausvogteiplatz until 1938. However, for the longest time it was located at Seydelstraße 8/9. The founder of the company was Adolf Samson, under whose management mannequins were manufactured. The Büro and exhibition rooms were located in Berlin, while production took place in the Upper Silesian town of Erdmannsdorf (today: Mysłakowice in Poland).

Bernhard Stühler saw the light of day in Hammelburg in 1856. His parents were Moses Stühler, born in Hammelburg in 1823, and Sara Stühler, née Stiefel. The traces of the Stühler family go back to the 18th century in Hammelburg. The father of Moses Stühler (grandfather of Bernhard Stühler) had earlier the name Aaron Moses (1783 - 1861) living in the Judengasse, but in the course of the Jewish emancipation then took the family name Stühler. Bernhard Stühler married Bertha, née Sondheim.

In the address and residents' book of the city of Kassel and the district of Kassel with 47 localities (Jg. 98.1934) the following entry is found: Kassel, Entengasse right - Hausnr.22. - Kahn Ed. - Gen. Agent 1. - Generalagent. of the Bremer Spiegelglas-Versicherungs-Gesellschaft 2 - Kahn Paula Wwe. 2. - On 25.09.1941 there was in the Entengasse 22 a so-called Judenhaus, into which Jewish families were forcibly resettled after termination of their previous residence ( Wohnstätte ).
