The brothers Ilia, Paul and Daniel Hepner
Born in Bialystok, the merchant Ilia Hepner (1885-1933) came to Berlin with several siblings and relatives around 1920. His family, who had previously lived in Kiev, had fled to Germany to escape the civil war in Ukraine. In the fall of 1921, he bought two houses in Berlin-Charlottenburg: at Waitzstr. 4 and Clausewitzstr. 1.
Dr. iur. Salomon and Berta Hepner
The Kiev-born lawyer Dr. Salomon Hepner (1893-1943) probably came to Berlin in 1921 with his wife Berta, née Weller (1901-1982), his son Charles (1920-2008), his parents and numerous family members. The couple were recognized as Russian war refugees in 1925. From 1927-33, the small family was registered at Bayerische Str. 8.
Josef Wachsmann
Josef Wachsmann was born in Feuchtwangen on February 5, 1882. His parents were the merchant and gold worker Markus Wachsmann, born in Neusandez - Galicia on March 6, 1846, and Zine, called Lina Herschander, also born in Neusandez - Galicia on May 20, 1848. Markus Wachsmann died on January 9, 1921 in Feuchtwangen - Lina Wachsmann on June 13, 1926 in Feuchtwangen. Both are buried in the Jewish cemetery in Schopfloch. From 1902-1903 Josef Wachsmann was a teacher at the Jewish school in Trabelsdorf. From 1919 he was employed by the city of Berlin as a science teacher.
Master tanner and tradesman - Samuel Stern
The recipient of the postcard was Hermann Stern. Hermann Stern was born in Feuchtwangen on November 1, 1885. His parents were Samuel Stern, born in Feuchtwangen on May 12, 1855, and Fanny Gutmann, born in Hainsfarth on May 8, 1861. Samuel Stern was a merchant and master tanner and, according to the address, also a tannery owner. He died on June 23, 1933 in Feuchtwangen at the age of 72. He found his final resting place in the Jewish cemetery in Schopfloch together with his wife Fanny, who succeeded him on February 21, 1936.
House and store of the Dublon family
Albert Doublon came from Apolda to Erfurt, moved to Schlösserstraße 30/31 and opened the shoe store „Salamander“ at Straße Anger 23/46.
He had two children: Erich and Wilhelm Doublon.
He moved with them to Lessingstraße 11.
Albert lost the right to sell Salamander shoes, but quickly found a new contract for a new shop from the Hess company at Anger 27.
This was also withdrawn from him. He then opened a store in his home,
where he again sold Salamander shoes.
His son Wilhelm married Erna Beermann and had two daughters: Lore and Eva.

The Stein family consisted of the mother Elly Stein, who was born on June 19, 1890, and the father Leopold Stein, who was born on February 5, 1880. They had two daughters, Ruth and Lotte Stein.
Klara Dreyfuß - Claire Dreyfuß
Klara ( Claire) Dreyfuß was born on June 16, 1902 in Kaiserslautern. Her parents were the physician and senior medical officer Dr. Isidor Dreyfuß, born on 17 July 1869 in Ingenheim and his wife Martha Mathilde, née Cahn, born on 25 November 1879 in Hachenburg. In July 1926 Kläre Dreyfuß and Dr. med. Julius Picard announced their engagement and invited to a reception on July 24/25, 1926 at Jägerstraße 13 in Ludwigshafen. On her husband's birthday in 1926, Kläre Dreyfuß married Julius Picard, who was born in Lauterbourg / Alsace on October 20, 1893.
Karl Lauinger

Jeanne Lauinger
Johanna Jeanne Lauinger was born in Strasbourg on April 2, 1863. Her parents were Arthur Worms, born in Karlsruhe on February 21, 1834, and Babette Hesslein, born on December 18, 1837. Johanna Jeanne Lauinger was married to Julius Lauinger, born on March 3, 1852 in Binswangen. The couple had three children - Emma, married name Mayer, born on September 28, 1887, Karl, born on August 12, 1889 and Charlotte, married name Mayer/Aal, born on February 5, 1894. Julius Lauinger died on May 25, 1901 at the age of 49 in Nürnberg. Johanna Jeanne Lauinger died on March 19, 1937 in Mainz.
Albert Mayer
Albert Mayer was born on June 14, 1874 in Mainz. His parents were the son of Bernhard Albert Mayer and Henriette Mayer, née Rindskopf. Albert Mayer was married to Emma Lauinger, born on September 28, 1887 in Nuremberg. Emma Mayer's parents were Julius Lauinger from Binswangen and Jeanne Johanna Lauinger, née Worms from Strasbourg. Albert and Emma Mayer had three children - Julia Mayer, born in 1910, Margit Marguerite, married name Weinbach, born March 23, 1913 and Bernhard Albert Mayer, born October 14, 1914.
