Isaak and Rebekka Feingersch (born 1885 and 1887) emigrated from Odessa to Frankfurt am Main with their daughter Marie in 1912. Their son David was born there. At the outbreak of the First World War in 1914, the Jewish family was arrested because they were Russian citizens. In order to escape the difficult living conditions in the Holzminden camp, Isaak volunteered to work in the potash plant in Ovelgönne near Celle. The family was allowed to join him and grew to a total of seven sons and three daughters.

After the potash plant was shut down (September 1, 1925), Isaak Feingersch found work at the Sandel central heating company in Celle. On July 8, 1937 the parents moved with Benjamin and Hermann to Celle to the Jüdische Gemeindehaus, Im Kreise 23. The other children had left the family in the meantime to prepare for their emigration to Palestine in various preparatory camps. So five sons - David, Moses, Rafael, Sally and Elias - arrived in Palastina on time and the three sisters Marie, Fanny and Rosa reached Holland. Benjamin went to a youth preparation camp in Neuendorf and Hermann studied temporarily at the Jewish horticultural school in Ahlem near Hanover.

Isaak and Rebekka and their youngest son Hermann were deported to Riga on December 2, 1941 and sent to a labour camp near the city, where the SS probably murdered them as soon as they arrived. The three daughters were deported from Holland to Auschwitz and gassed there: Rosa in 1942, Fanny, her husband and son in 1944 and Marie and her husband at the end of February 1945. Benjamin survived Auschwitz because he was rescued from a death march by Oskar Schindler. He emigrated to Palestine.
