Albert ( Abraham ) Deutsch, born on February 16, 1864 died in the Gurs camp on December 1, 1940. Son Benedikt Deutsch with wife Margarete, née Zivi still managed to emigrate to the USA in 1939. The house in the Obergasse 2 was taken shortly after the emigration of the Deutsch family for the Hitler Youth.

The Hoppelaufriedhof was created around 1626 cemetery. Since 1834, the first Jewish cemetery in Baden-Württemberg has been located here in a demarcated area, which was integrated into a (Christian) city cemetery.
