Thanks to this partnership, biographies of Jewish collectors were compiled based on research findings from the Proveana database, then linked to the interactive map.
The partnership aims to develop programs for pupils and continuing education for teachers in order to expose young people to the topic of Judaism and Jewishness in greater detail.
Together with Jewish Places, during the winter semester of 2020, students researched city tours and biographies for places in Thuringia and located them on Jewish Places.
This partnership featured one of the first Jewish Places seminars in which students enriched Jewish Places with their research. In addition, the MMZ helped shape Jewish Places as a founding partner.
Salomon Ludwig Steinheim-Institute for German-Jewish History

As a founding partner with expertise and valuable experience, the Salomon Ludwig Steinheim Institute supported the conceptual design and implementation of Jewish Places.
During the 2021 summer semester, students at the University of Cologne and the Freie Universität Berlin collaborated to research Jewish sites in Berlin and Cologne and developed new entries for Jewish Places.
The Online Achive has been collaborating closely with Jewish Places since the concept phase. The red location markers on our map were generated using geo-information from the Archive's database.
We have embarked on a series of exciting cooperative projects with this founding partner. We are grateful to them for contributing important elements of the project's concept as well as interesting sites on our map.
As part of our partnership with the cultural education department of Jewish Museum Munich, pupils at a Munich secondary school created a fantastic audio biography of the actor Therese Giehse.
In 2021, there was a major collaboration between MiQua, Jewish Places, the FU Berlin, and the University of Cologne. 40 students added Jewish places to the map. In addition, MiQua presented the Jewish Places website as part of its traveling exhibition.
Thanks to an extensive import from this founding partner's database, there were already thousands of German synagogues to discover on our map at the time of our launch in 2018.
