Footwear mail order - S. & A. Lewinsohn
The merchants Arthur and Siegfried Lewinsohn initially (1904) operated a shop for manufactures and fashion goods in Franzstra;e 3/4. Soon, the manufactures and fashion goods business became a shoe shop and shoe mail order house. From entries in Dessau address books from the time, it can be seen that the shop was located at Franzstraß 3/4 in the years 1904-1907. In 1908, the shop moved to Zerbster Straß 22. From 1909, the shop was located at Askanische Straß 109, where it can be traced until 1919 with the last owner Siegfried Lewinsohn.

In 1913, the Robert Ball business is taken over by Hugo and Johanna Grünthal übern. Management Johanna Grünthal - authorized signatory Hugo Grünthal until 1914, then Julius Nathanson until 1935. Hugo Grünthal initiated an edition program of World War medals in Berlin, in which the medalist and sculptor Artur Imanuel Loewental was also involved.

Leather shop - Lazarus Levite
The roots of the Levite family can be traced back to the end of the 17th century to Unterdeufstetten to Hirsch Loew. His son Sandel Hirsch Levi, born in Unterdeufstetten in 1702, was a cloth, hat and fur merchant in Mönchsroth and died there before 1770. His son David Sandel, born about 1738, cloth merchant in Mönchsroth was the great-grandfather of Lazarus Levite. The parents of Lazarus Levite were David Loew Levite, born 1805 in Mönchsroth - died May 25, 1879 and Sara Levite, née Berliner von Roth, born Dec.1818 - died March 30, 1888. Lazarus Levite owned a leather shop.

Her brother Julius Stern and Saly Sonder were partners of Sali Sonder OHG.
