Malwine Eleonore Wolffenstein was born on November 29, 1878, in Hammermühle, Sorau County, to Jewish parents Edmund Wolffenstein and his wife Elise, née Fürstenheim. She married Paul Saloschin, an engineer. They moved to Berlin, the marriage remained childless, and both belonged to the Lutheran Church. They first lived in Charlottenburg, Lietzenseeufer 1. In 1934 they moved to Sponholzstraße 44 into a 4-room apartment. Her husband was already retired. On November 1, 1941, Malwine Saloschin and her husband were deported to the Lodz Ghetto.
