Gertrud Lewinsohn was born on May 15, 1897 in Wronke/Posen to Jewish parents. She married the Jew Max Schächter, born on June 22, 1880 in Suczawa/Romania. The marriage remained childless. Max Schächter was a merchant and lived with his wife Gertrud in Berlin, from 1930 to 1932 in Lankwitz at Scharzhofberger Platz, from 1933 in Tempelhof at Bacharacher Strasse 26. In 1938/1939 the couple moved to Wielandstrasse 5 on the first floor into a 5½-room apartment with hot water and central heating, bathroom, use of garden, balcony, cellar and floor as main tenants. The monthly rent was RM 147.00.

Margot Schachnow was born on May 25, 1895 in Inowrazlaw/Posen as the daughter of Siegfried Schachnow-Salomonsohn and his wife Anna née Heymann.

Anna Haymann was born in Frankfurt am Main on September 13, 1872, the daughter of Felix Haymann and his wife Hermine, née Neumann.

Hedwig Sass, née Cohn, was born on 19.4.1879 in Stolzenhagen, district Barnim, as daughter of the meat merchant Moritz Cohn and his wife Therese, née Cohn. In 1906 she married the dentist Rachmiel Urech, born 26.3.1866 in Lemberg, with whom she lived in Magdeburg. In 1907 Rachmiel Urech changed his name to Richard Sass. He died in Magdeburg in 1926. Hedwig Sass moved to Berlin with her daughter Margarete. Until 1938 she had her own apartment there at Speyrer Str.3, after which she moved in with her sister, Martha Baum and her husband Wolf Felix Baum at Meraner Str. 8.
