The cemetery probably exists since the end of the 17th century. The oldest gravestone dates from 1748. In the period after 1933 the cemetery was closed, the gravestones were sold. The stones made of basalt and granite were further used. Some stones were found after the war by a stonemason and were put up again. Today there are 22 stones and a memorial column in the cemetery.

The roots of the Landeshut Linen and Gebildweberei F.V.Grünfeld were laid by Falk Valentin with the establishment and opening of a first fashion, cut and white goods shop in July 1862 in Landeshut-Unter den Lauben am Markt.1873 F.V. Grünfeld expanded his business with a mail order business, with which he then also served a large customer base abroad.

Moritz Redelmeier was married to Frieda Redelmeier, née Apfel. The couple had two daughters - Margot Redelmeier, born on 14.09.1913 in Halle and Ruth Redelmeier - Lichtenstein, born in 1918 in Halle a.S. Moritz Redelmeier ran a feed and grain business in Halle.  Margot Redelmeier, an accountant by profession emigrated to the USA on 31.05.1939. Her sister Ruth emigrated to the USA already in 1936. Moritz Redelmeier died on February 04, 1937 in Halle. His wife Frieda Redelmeier was deported from Kassel via Lublin/Poland to Sobibor on June 1, 1942.

The merchant and later factory owner Arthur Michaelis, born on 28.09.1859 in Königsberg married on 16.02.1888 in Munich Frieda Michaelis, née Obermeyer (also: Obermaier), daughter of the Munich merchant Hirsch Obermeyer and Sophie Obermeyer, née Marx. The couple had 3 daughters - Theodora, born on 10.10.1890, Elsa, born on 16.01.1892 and Erna, born on 30.11.1896. Arthur Michaelis was the founder of the machine factory A. Michaelis KG, which specialized in the manufacture of laundry and plating machines. His wife Frieda Michaelis was a partner in the machine factory.
