Neville Bloch was a son of John Bloch, the editor of the first Berlin sports magazine „Sport und Spiel“.John Bloch was the first chairman of the German Football and Cricket Association.In February 1892 " John Bloch took over the editorship of the " Deutsche Ballspiel-Zeitung, later changed to " Sport und Ziel ". In the book " British in Berlin " it is mentioned that John Bloch´s son Neville had taken over the editorial management " but the magazine survived only until 1901 ".A year later Neville Bloch was living in Berlin, but was active as a journalist in England in 1903 ( Athletic News, July 27, 1903). In 1907 Neville Bloch lived in Hamburg, where he organized an International Sports Meeting ( The Sportsman, July 17, 1907). In the listing of Jüdischer Gewerbebetriebe in Berlin 1930-1945 " the following entry is found: Deutsche Sportartikel-Zeitung Neville B. Bloch & Co, - Newspaper (publishing and printing) - Founded in 1924 , Liq.: 1939 -Viktoria-Luise-Platz 1. (Schöneberg). Neville Bloch was the treasurer of the association „Museum für Leibesübungen e.V.“ When the National Socialists dissolved the Museum für Leibesübungen in April 1934, terminated the last employee and stored the collection, Neville Bloch emigrated to Great Britain.
