octagonal central building Last use: residential and commercial buildings

The synagogue, built in 1882 (Am Busdorf), was an octagonal building in the oriental style, constructed of yellow bricks with a copper roof, according to plans by the architect A. Baumann; it had space for approximately 300 people, about 190 in the nave and 100 in the women's gallery. In 1905, the synagogue was extended with a western addition containing galleries, and in 1928 it was re-roofed with copper plates. On November 10, 1938, the interior burned down, and it was demolished shortly thereafter.

A virtual reconstruction of the synagogue can be viewed under "Media."
