Isidor Eberhardt *2 Feb. 1873, married Frieda Strauß, born on April 15, 1875 in Heiligenstadt in Thüringen, in 1902 at the age of 29. His father, Jakob, had at that time acquired HN.172 from the Jew Maier Stoll, into which Isidor now moved with his wife Frieda. Isidor's four children were born there:
1.4.6.2.1 Arthur *17 Oct. 1903. He, single, commercial clerk in Nürnberg, sailed on 17 Oct. 1925, 22 years old, on the ship „Madrid“ of Nordd. Lloyd from Bremen to Lisbon.
1.4.6.2.2 Gustav *9 Feb. 1905, ∞ 1935 Lilli Stern from Nürnberg, emigrated in 1935 üvia Spain.
1.4.6.2.3 Ludwig *4. April 1906, died on 7 Oct 1906.
1.4.6.2.4 Max *13 Sep 1913. Only Mäxchen was named as the youngest.
Father Isidor, like most Jews, ran a livestock business in the wider area. In 1910, however, he must have got into financial difficulties because his property was put up for foreclosure. On Dec. 5, 1910 at 2 o'clock, the property was auctioned off, namely: building, house, barn, henhouse, kennel, dog kennel, clutch of wood, oven, pigsty, workshop, yard, grass and tree garden. It is not known how the auction went, but presumably the relatives helped, because when the baby was born in 1913 and in July 1915, the family was still living there. But now there was war, Isidor was drafted and in 1916, at the age of 43, he was drafted into the artillery as a gunner. In Jan. 1917 he was first sent to the military hospital in Metz, then on to the military hospital in Heidelberg and then to Stuttgart. In June 1917, he was again involved in the battle between the Meuse and Moselle rivers. But then discharged from service on Dec. 5, 1917. With the war not yet over, he now had to see how he could provide for his family! So around 1919 his wife Frieda, certainly with the children, lived in HN.44 in the inn „Adler“. Now, in 1920, the two Isidor Eberhardt and Friedmann from Maßbach, from Oschersleben in Saxony, ran a far-reaching cattle trade. Their cattle were even shipped as far as Munich. However, they only had permission to buy and sell cattle in Saxony. That is why the two were tried by the criminal court in Schweinfurt in 1922 for buying and selling cattle from Saxony to Bavaria and back without permission and on a large scale. Both were sentenced to fines of 11,000 and 10,000 marks respectively.
