*******************
"Hageböcker Street is one of the important, old arterial roads coming directly from the market to the country and this case over the Schweriner Street in the direction of the state capital. The name is said to be derived from Hagebusch (hornbeam), but Havelbucksche Strate was also in use around 1425. In the Middle Ages, at the end of the road in front of the moat stood the Hageböcker gate that consisted of an inland gate and an outer gate."
