The Katzauer brothers founded the "Lack- und Farbengroßhandlung Gebrüder Katzauer" in 1896. Initially still a trading business, they began producing their own window putty and various lime paints at the end of the 19th century. The acquisition of a 20-hectare site in Talstrasse in the early 1920s also laid the foundation for the chemical production of inorganic pigments. With this product range, the Bruchsaler Farbenfabrik achieved an international breakthrough.

Residence Gabriel Dreyfuß
Gabriel Dreyfuß was the third head of the Hochberg Jewish community from 1799 to 1805. He came from Hechingen and had been a patron Jew in Hochberg since 1783. In 1801, he bought the former parsonage at Hauptstraße 10 and in 1802 had the two columns, which no longer exist today, installed at the entrance to the courtyard. The Hebrew inscription on the right column read: "We wish the good entrance", that on the pictured left column "We wish the good exit". From 1804 Gabriel Dreyfuß had received court protection in Stuttgart, where he now resided and died in 1810.
Law firm - Dr. Moses Hommel
Dr. Moses Hommel, born in Schweinfurt in 1869, had already been a member of the Jewish community since 1889, was a member of the Jewish Community Council in 1901 and chairman of the Jewish Community of Schweinfurt from 1914 to 1934. He was the co-founder and deputy president of the Association of Bavarian Jewish Communities in Munich and in the last years before his emigration he was involved in the Reichsvertretung der Deutschen Juden. Dr. Moses Hommel had been working as a lawyer since 1918 with the rank of a judicial councilor. His office was located in Luitpoldstraße.
Jewish cemetery (Bergen auf Rügen)
Nothing more is known about the history of a Jewish cemetery in Bergen. The cemetery is said to have still existed as a part of the municipal cemetery in the 1950s.
