Adolf and Mathilde Arfeld moved to Koblenzer Straße 5 shortly after their marriage in 1903 and started a family there. Son Herbert was born here in 1904, daughter Erika in 1906 and daughter Herta in 1915. The wealthy Jewish court factor Löb Heymann built a magnificent burgher house in the Baroque style in the old town of Diez at the beginning of the 18th century. Today it is a normal residential house. As a court factor he was responsible for the credits and financing of the Diez princely court. Gustav Buxbaum was born in Bamberg on November 23, 1839. The parents were Joachim Buxbaum and Rosalie Buxbaum, née Uffenheimer. Gustav Buxbaum was married to Jette ( Henriette ) Buxbaum, née Guetermann. The couple had 2 sons, - Julius, born on April 11, 1877 and Hans, born on December 10, 1894. Gustav Buxbaum ran a hop wholesale business with a kiln and lived at Hainstrasse 20 in Bamberg. Gustav Buxbaum died on July 12, 1914, and was succeeded by his wife Jette on March 7, 1919.
