In the J Jüdisches Adressbuch für Gross-Berlin - edition 1929/1930 - the following entry is found: Kaplan, Max, Kaufmann, W 50, Augsburger Stra;e 42.
The picture postcards were presumably sent home by Max Kaplan to his wife and daughter in Berlin during a stay at a health resort in Bad Kissingen.

Business traveler - Julius Frankenthal
Julius Frankenthal was born on December 22, 1889, the son of the merchant´s Leo Frankenthal and Ida Frankenthal,née.Lindenfeld in Hamburg.He was married to Huberta,née. Kepler, born on November 12, 1890 in Aachen.Their marriage was considered a " mixed marriage ". The couple had one son - Kurt Frankenthal, born November 13, 1917 in Ingolstadt. Julius Frankenthal (presumably the family) lived in Ingolstadt from 1910 - 1934.From May 2, 1934 then in München, Lindenschmittstraße 52/1.Julius Frankenthal died on January 23, 1935 in München. He is buried in the New Israel. Cemetery in München.
Villa Arnade
On a wide park-like plot in the villa district of the Görlitzer Südstadt stands the Villa Arnade which was designed in 1916 by the architect Robert Weber for the Görlitzer leather goods manufacturer Ernst Arnade.
Villa Ephraim
The villa at the end of Goethestraße was considered at the time of its construction as the most beautiful Görlitzer Art Nouveau villa, built in 1909 for the ironworker Martin Ephraim. The villa was completed according to the plans of the architect Professor Hugo Behr. During his lifetime, Martin Ephraim was one of the city's greatest men, a city councilor and a member of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce in Gürlitz/Breslau. His life ended in 1944 in Theresienstadt.
Hildegard Burjan Birthplace
In the house, Elisabethstraße 36 in Görlitz Hildegard Burjan was born as Hildegard Lea Freund 1883 and lived there for several years with her family. The father had set up a shop on the first floor.
Mira Lobe Birthplace
A commemorative plaque has been unveiled at the birthplace of the Austrian children's and youth author Mira Lobe in Görlitz on Struvestrasse 9. The occasion was the 100th birthday of the writer, who was born Hilde Miriam Rosenthal on September 17, 1913 in the new town. Her best-known work is "Das kleine Ich bin Ich".
Leo Cohen apartment
The merchant Leo Cohen moved in 1929 with his wife and their daughter from their first marriage into the newly built house Goetheplatz 1. In 1933 the family emigrated to Palästina.
