Marta Jacobsohn was born in Karthaus on December 14, 1872, to Jewish parents Isaac Jacobsohn and his wife. On March 17, 1898 she married the merchant Adolph Ephraim. Their two sons were born, Kurt on February 15, 1903 and Walter on June 15, 1906. Adolf Ephraim was the owner of a "Blusen-Haus", which was located at Rheinstraße 62 in Friedenau from 1910 to 1917. In 1935, the family moved to Fregestraße 80, transverse building, 3 stairs.
