Heinrich Peiser was born in Posen on April 30, 1875, the son of Samuel Peiser, a liquor manufacturer, and his wife Marie, née Posner. His siblings were Julia (1873), Alfred (1876), Selma (1877), Amanda (1882) and Leo (1883), who died at the age of 4. Heinrich Peiser ran the family liqueur factory with his father in Posen. In 1909 he married Gertrude Trude Mendelssohn. Their daughter Annemarie was born in Posen on February 1, 1910, followed by Hans-Günther in 1920, but he died after a few days. Then Lotte Alice was born in Berlin on July 4, 1921.

Alfred Orgler was born into a Jewish family in Breslau on April 26, 1876.

Edith Julia Salomonsohn was born on March 5, 1894 in Inowrazlaw/Poznan, the daughter of Siegfried Schachnow-Salomonsohn and his wife Anna née Heymann.
