A Jewish community in Grombach, a district of Bad Rappenau in the district of Heilbronn in northern Baden-Württemberg, existed at least since the middle of the 17th century. The community built its own synagogue in 1840 and had its highest membership in 1855 with about 70 people. Due to emigration and migration to industrialized cities, the size of the community dropped to 20 people by 1933. At the time of the Reichspogromnacht in 1938, in which the synagogue and a Jewish store were demolished, seven Jews still lived in Grombach, who were deported to Gurs in 1940 and later mostly murdered in extermination camps.
