The Jewish community in Laupheim in Upper Swabia was established in 1724 by the settlement of several Jewish families from Illereichen and Buchau. In the middle of the 19th century, it was the largest Jewish community in the then Kingdom of Württemberg. The community became extinct in the course of the persecution of Jews during the National Socialist era.
