The Jewish community of Warburg existed from the 15th century until 1943 in Warburg and was one of the most important Jewish communities in Westphalia. 1686 to 1806 their rabbis were at the same time Oberlandesrabbiner.

Die frühere Obere Straße auf einer Postkarte (ca. 1905), vorn das 1722–1943 von jüdischen Familien bewohnte Goldschmidt-Haus (Nr. 28), dahinter das nicht mehr bestehende Rabbinerhaus (Nr. 26), hinter dem sich die noch erhaltene Synagoge befand.
The former Obere Straße on a postcard (ca. 1905), in front the Goldschmidt House (No. 28), which was inhabited by Jewish families from 1722-1943, behind it the no longer existing Rabbi's House (No. 26), behind which the still preserved synagogue was located.
