R., Hdls.- Ger.- Beis., Baumwollwarenfabrik, Bes. d. r. gld. Med. am B. d. Stan.-O., F... Werderthorg. 17 - 1900 then Leopold Abeles & Söhne, k.k. priv. Spinn- und Webwaren-Fabrik, in Rothkostelez Ndlge. Neuthorg. 16, Zelinkag. 2 - Leopold Abeles was born on December 7, 1816 in Saaz (Zatec). His parents were Joachim Abeles and Rebecca Abeles, née Samel. Leopold Abeles was married to Maria, née Oberländer, born on November 18, 1820 in Náchod, daughter of Jakob (Jakub) Oberländer and Anna Berländer, née Lewith.Leopold and Maria Abeles had seven children - Gustav Abeles, born on June 6, 1850 in Červený Kostelec Ida, married Pollak, born on September 4, 1851 in Cerveny Kostelec - Hugo Abeles, born on February 4, 1853 in Červený Kostelec - Otto Abeles Arens, born on April 22, 1854 in Červený Kostelec - Dr. Heinrich Arens (Abeles), born on 18. March 1857 in Červený Kostelec - Hedwig, married Levinstein, born on February 24, 1858 in Kosteletz and Auguste Gusti, married Eissler, born on November 18, 1862 in Vienna. Leopold Abeles died on July 18, 1890 at the age of 73 in a sanatorium in Vienna and was buried in the family vault at the Vienna Central Cemetery. Maria Abeles died on July 1, 1887 in Erlach and was transferred to the family crypt at the Central Cemetery in Vienna and buried there.
