The address book of the city of Berlin from 1900 contains the following entry: Brasch & Rothenstein, Spedition, Commisssion und Agenturen, Billetverkauf, Lesezimmer ( Centralbureau f.den Weltverkehr ), C Hausvogtei-Platz 2 (Tel.I., 2840) Hauptbureau NW Lüneburgerstr.22. (Tel. II. 512, 583.) Branches: SW Alexandrinenstr.22(Tel. IV. 2081.), Kgl. Packhof, London E. C., Paris, Tetschen a. E., Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Blissingen, Leipzig, Frankfurt a.M., Hamburg, Bremen, Bentheim, Gotha, Inh. Heinr. Rothenstein.  -  The company " Brasch & Rothenstein " was founded in Berlin in 1881 as "Centralbureau für den Weltverkehr" in Berlin. From 1900, Brasch & Rothenstein " was registered as an OHG in Berlin The head office was in Berlin. The business addresses there were Lüneburger Str. 22 and Friedrichstr. 78.  There were branch offices in Bremen, Hamburg, Leipzig, Nürnberg and Vienna, among others, until the Second World War.  !936 the company was Aryanized. New owner after the Aryanization from May 1936: Harry W. Hamacher, continuation of the name Brasch & Rothenstein with the addition "Owner Harry W. Hamacher" . From March 1940, the name was changed again to "Spedition Harry W. Hamacher".
