On April 21, 1890 Bernhard Hausner married Esther Levy in Munich, born on March 28, 1861 in Memphis, Tennessee. The couple had three children - Julius, born on February 10, 1891 in Munich, Ernst, born on January 7, 1893 in Munich and Mary, born on November 17, 1895 in Munich. According to the entries in the München address book, the brothers Bernhard and Josef Hausner ran the fur and wool business "Gebrüder Hausner" from 1877 to 1935. From 1920 Ernst Hausner (son of Bernhard Hausner) joined the family. Josef Hausner died on November 20, 1935 in Munich. Bernhard Hausner and his son Ernst were still the owners of the company Gebr. Hausner, Woll- und Fellgroßhandel, Oberer Anger 45 until the beginning of 1937. Moritz Hausner ran a spirits and cigar shop at Oberanger No. 45. From 1923 he lived as a private individual. Bernhard Hausner s son Julius died in the First World War on May 30, 1916 in front of Verdun. Daughter Mary was murdered in Kaunas on November 25, 1941. Esther Hausner died on November 8, 1923 in Munich. Bernhard Hausner was transported to Theresienstadt together with his sister Henriette on 11.06.1942 on Transport II/4. According to the death notice from the Ältestenrat, Bernhard Hausner died of "intestinal catarrh" on 11.10.1942 at 6.30 in room 17 of the old people's home in the Kavalierkaserne. Henriette Heilbronner died of "intestinal catarrh".
