Grünebaumstrasse

In the immediate vicinity of the university grounds is Grünebaumstraße, named after the Grünebaum merchant family, who moved here from Geseke in the 19th century and owned the Steinberg & Grünebaum department store and the current Haus Grünebaum on Rathausplatz.
