Blitzblau family

Rifka Blitzblau, née Brenner, was born on September 7, 1888. Her husband Michael was born on January 16, 1892 in Łodź. The couple had four children: Adolf, Herman, Rosel and Siegfried. The family was forcibly deported to Poland on October 28, 1938 as part of the so-called Polen-Aktion. The family is listed in the records of the Łodź ghetto, where Michael Blitzblau is also listed as a janitor. He was murdered on March 17, 1943. His son Siegfried, who was born in Dresden on March 1 or 30, 1927, was deported, as was his mother. Nothing is known about the exact circumstances of the murder of mother and son.
