The textile merchant Benno (Baruch) Lubranitzki, born on 26.04.1880 in Pitschen, ran the ladies' and men's clothing store Lubranitzki in the artificial flower town of Sebnitz together with his wife Gertrud Lubranitzki, née Posner, born on 01.06. in Dresden.1885 in Dresden, ran the Lubranitzki ladies' and men's wardrobe shop at Lange Straß 1 / corner of Markt.
In the summer of 1938, the persecution of Jews and other minorities intensified, while at the same time the Nazi regime's rebellion and expansion efforts increased. In Sebnitz, Benno (Baruch) Lubranitzki had to sell his business premises and the property at Lange Straüe 1 to the town of Sebnitz in 1938. On September 1, 1938, the Sajonz brothers took it over.
In September 1938, the Lubranitzki couple were able to enable their son Walter to flee to the USA.
The couple had to leave Sebnitz. They were forcibly accommodated in the so-called Jewish house at Henzestr. 15 in Dresden. From there, they were both deported to the Riga ghetto on January 20/21, 1942.
Gertrud Lubranitzki, née Posner, died in the Riga ghetto on March 26, 1943.
Her husband Benno Lubranitzki was transferred from the Riga ghetto to the Kaiserwald concentration camp in 1943 and murdered there in 1944.
