Dr. Albert Steiner was born on September 26, 1896 in Göppingen as the son of a lawyer. He was admitted to the Göppingen District Court from the end of 1923 and to the Ulm Regional Court from the beginning of 1924. With the „Fünften Verordnung zum Reichsbürgergesetz“ of September 27, 1938, the admission of Jewish lawyers was revoked as of November 30, 1938. This was the conclusion of the National Socialists' plan (Law on Admission to the Bar of April 7, 1933) to withdraw the admission of Jewish lawyers. Following this decree in 1938, Dr. Albert Steiner emigrated to the USA in November 1938. The start in the USA was very difficult. Initially, the lawyer Dr. Albert Steiner earned his living as a peddler for a sausage factory. He later found employment in a hop factory. Dr. Albert Steiner died after a long illness on 18 December 1955.
