The Wertheim family: Paul Wertheim, born on July 2, 1858 in Berlin, died on January 23, 1942 in Magdeburg. Paul Wertheim was a judge at Magdeburg District Court from 1905. His wife Wally Wertheim, née Priebatsch, born on January 28, 1869 in Breslau, followed her husband to Magdeburg. They lived at Hohenstaufenring 9. After the death of Paul Wertheim, she was taken to a so-called ‚Jews' house' in Magdeburg in 1942. Escape to their deaths before the imminent deportation to Theresienstadt on December 2, 1942.

The Hannach family: The merchant and pump manufacturer Julius Hannach was born on May 26, 1861 in Lissa (province of Posen). Julius married Emmy Cohn, born on December 10, 1875 in Angerburg/East Prussia. According to the provisions of the Treaty of Versailles, the predominantly German-populated town of Lissa was to be ceded to the Republic of Poland. The handover to Poland took place between January 17 and February 4, 1920. Aware of the change in nationality, Julius Hannach moved with his family from Lissa to Magdeburg at the end of 1919 and became the sole owner of the Philipp Hannach Magdeburger Pumpenfabrik in 1920. Their home was at Hohenstaufenring 9. Julius and Emmy Hannach probably saw no prospects for their lives after the November pogroms of 1938. Together they decided to end their lives with sleeping pills. The 62-year-old Emmy Cohn died in her apartment at Hohenstaufenring 9 on November 22, 1938; her husband was found alive and taken to the Altstadtkrankenhaus hospital. The 77-year-old died there three days later.

The Arie Leo and Ruth Henschke family with their son Albert Max: Leo (Arie) Henschke, born on April 5, 1892 in Labischin, Germany. April 1892 in Labischin (province of Posen), merchant, resident in Magdeburg, Hohenstaufenring 9, arrested on November 10, 1938, deported to Buchenwald concentration camp, deported from Magdeburg via Berlin to Auschwitz on February 23, 1943. Ruth Henschke née Lewin, born on August 13, 1899 in Magdeburg, resident in Magdeburg, Hohenstaufenring 9, deported on February 23, 1943 from Magdeburg via Berlin to Auschwitz. Murdered.

Albert Max Henschke, born on January 18, 1935 in Magdeburg, resident in Magdeburg, Hohenstaufenring 9, deported on February 23, 1943 from Magdeburg via Berlin to Auschwitz. Murdered
