Owned by Samuel Eberhardt (1870 - 1976), head of the religious council and baker

"Until 1920, it was owned by Samuel Eberhardt, the head of the Jewish community".„This was the northern half of the so-called Schmitt estate, which „Jacob jud" had bought from Lorenz Magold for 40 guilders in 1695 (house no. 43, today Poppenlauerer Strasse 4). The site for the new synagogue was located directly behind Jacob's house.“ 

StAW, RA Münnerstadt 72b, pp. 355-359: „Lit. B Von einer hofraith, mit hauß, scheuern und bronnen in der großen Dorffsgassen". From 1782, Bonfeth Faivel was registered as the owner of this northern half of the Schmitt estate, who bequeathed it to Isac Bonfet Heilmann (StAW, RA Münnerstadt 72b, p. 363).

The connection between the synagogue and the main house was apparently only created with the reconstruction of 1899/1900 (including the vestibule and staircase to the women's gallery). Access to the vestibule was via a kind of alleyway.

In 1920, Karl Geiling acquired it. He officially acquired the synagogue building in 1943.
