Erna Wilhelmine Mittereder was the daughter of the lawyer Franz Mittereder and his wife Rosa Mittereder, née Loewi. Franz Mittereder was Catholic and was born in Munich on May 8, 1885. Rosa Mittereder was of Jewish faith, came from Adelsdorf near Forchheim and was born there on March 25, 1891. The couple married on July 16, 1923 in Munich. The marriage was considered a mixed marriage. Erna Wilhelmine Mittereder was born in Munich on April 20, 1925. Her father Franz Mittereder died just one year after her birth on April 9, 1926. Erna Wilhelmine Mittereder and her mother Rosa were deported from Munich to Kaunas (Kovno/Lithuania) on November 20, 1941 and murdered there on November 25, 1941. Two stumbling stones laid on June 27, 2017 at Römerstraße 7 in Munich commemorate the fate of daughter and mother.
