The Munich address book from 1910 contains the following entry: Krämer Max & Co, (owner Max Krämer u. Louis Levi), Bank- und Wechselgeschäft, Dienerstr.23 Entres. T. P. 881 - Max Krämer was born in Munich on August 22, 1864. He came from a wealthy family of bankers and ran his own financial institution. In 1891, Max Krämer married Clementine Cahnmann, born on September 17, 1873 in Rheinbischofsheim. The marriage remained childless. The global economic crisis and the New York stock market crash in October 1929 led to the end of the Max Krämer & Co. bankruptcy was inevitable. As a result, Clementine Krämer worked as a saleswoman in the department store Eichengrün und Co. and was soon promoted to manager. In 1937, Max and Clementine had to leave the apartment in Trautenwolfstraäe. Max Krämer died on August 16, 1938 in Munich. All of Clementine Krämer's attempts, including those of her relatives, friends and close acquaintances, to organize her emigration to a safe foreign country were unsuccessful. In July 1942, Clementine Krämer was deported from the „Jewish settlement Milbertshofen“ to the Theresienstadt ghetto. According to the camp administration's death notice, Clementine Krämer died there, completely encrusted, on November 4, 1942 at 8:30 a.m.
