The roots of the haberdashery business I. Springer at Rosental 19 (today Sendlinger Straüe 3) go back to the year 1871.The following entry can be found in the address book of the city of Munich from 1871:Springer Israel,Kaufmann,Rosental 19.Just one year earlier, the following entry can be found in the address book of the city of Munich from 1870:Springer Israel,Kaufmann, Marienpl.2- Laden 21.Israel Springer was married to Babette,née Schwab.Israel Springer was married to Babette, née Schwab, and the couple had five children-Rosa, born on June 4, 1866, Max, born on March 23, 1870, Lina, David and Josef.The Springer family had been running a textile trade in Munich with great success since 1865, and in the 1920s there were a total of three shops - one for wholesale at Goethestra<e 34.Fashion ateliers, tailors and other business people shopped there and two retail shops-Marienplatz 21 and Rosental 19.The Rosental 19 shop was run by David Springer and his wife Dorline, née Maier.The couple also lived there with their parents Anna, born in 1898, and Elisabeth, born in 1904. and Elisabeth, born in 1904.When David Springer died in 1930, the widow Dorline Springer did not continue to run the business, which was dissolved and rented out to a grocery store, and the unmarried Max Springer, a retired mechanical engineer, moved to Rosental 19 on October 10, 1931. He was deported from Munich to Theresienstadt on June 25, 1942 and murdered in Treblinka in the same year.Lina Springer married the Augsburg merchant Simon Farnbacher.She died on January 7, 1935 six years and four days later.Both found their final resting place in the Jewish cemetery in Augsburg in Haunstetter Strasse.Rosa Springer, married to Reis, was deported to the Theresienstadt ghetto on June 24, 1942 and on September 19, 1942 to the extermination camp in Treblinka. She was murdered there immediately after the train arrived on September 21 or 22, 1942.
Dorline Springer was deported from Munich to Piaski on April 4, 1942 and died there.
