München, June 11, 1914. - Dear Mrs. Lotte. - My two cards to you have remained without reply and I am now in the greatest anxiety as to what will happen now, because I know of no one else to turn to. Grete Wollheim is still in Friedrichsrode. I can't wait for her to come home, as it won't be decided for another 14 days whether she is fit for work. Yesterday Regine Deutsch arrived unexpectedly and I'm coming back with her at 6 o'clock on Saturday evening. I would like to ask you the following. Would you be so kind as to fetch my apartment keys from Lions Pariserstr.58 and ask my porter or his wife to let you clean, sweep and mop my bedroom. However, you should not touch the black mirror cabinet in the living room, as the porcelain clock is inside and could easily break. You would also be doing me a great favor if you would come to my apartment on Saturday around 7 a.m. and provide some milk, butter, white bread and some ham. If you are unable to come, perhaps Mrs. Sonnenthal or Miss Else Abel would be so kind. I hope you will fulfill my request and not let me down. I thought everything was in the best of order, but the unexpected loss of my support has made everything unpleasant ......, otherwise I would not have needed to bother anyone. Sending you my best thanks in advance, with warm greetings to you all, and best wishes for a happy reunion - Regine Lion - Herzl. Greetings from the scribe.
