Justice councillor Dr. Albert Teutsch ran a law firm with his son Dr. Hans Teutsch in Nuremberg at Karolinenstrasse 38. Albert Teutsch was married to Johanna Teutsch, née Gerson, born in Nürnberg on November 8, 1873. She was a committed member of the IKG (Jewish Community of Nürnberg) and sang one of the alto parts in the synagogue choir. She emigrated to the USA in 1939. Albert Teutsch died in Nürnberg in August 1932. His son Dr. jur. Hans Teutsch founded a law firm for commercial law together with Dr. jur. Fritz (Fred) Blum at Königstr.33-37. They also managed to emigrate to America with their families. Friedrich Jakob (Fritz) Blum was born in Frankenthal on February 9, 1889. After studying law at the universities of Munich, Berlin, Heidelberg and Erlangen, he completed his doctorate in 1912 at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen with the title "Loans and Loan Agreements" and was awarded a doctorate in law. He was awarded the Iron Cross for his service to his home country from the beginning to the end of the First World War. After passing the state examination in 1918 and being admitted to the bar in April 1919, he joined the law firm of his future father-in-law, Dr. Albert Teutsch. On July 14, 1919, he married Elisabeth Teutsch, who was born in Nuremberg on October 3, 1894. The couple had four children - Helmut, born on April 25, 1920, - Maria, born on January 26, 1922, died of leukemia on Christmas Eve 1926 in Nuremberg, - Hildegard, born on August 31, 1923 and Ursula, born on May 1, 1929. Dr. Fritz Blum was taken into protective custody in Nürnberg for several weeks in the spring of 1937, and after November 30, 1938, Dr. Fritz Blum was arrested because of his Jewish descent in accordance with § 1 No.1 of the Fünften VO zum Reichsbürgergesetz. He emigrated with his family to the USA via Palestine.
