This lodge home was the social house of the B'nai B'rith (old spelling Bnei Briss) Frankfurt Lodge. The land was purchased by the members of the lodge and the house was inaugurated in 1902. It was a social house for all Frankfurt citizens. The building contained valuable carpets and paintings by the Frankfurt painter Jakob Nussbaum. The park-like garden was opened to all veterans of the war for recreation after the First World War.
In 1937, the building was expropriated and all lodges were banned. After that, the German Reichsfunk was located in the building, from which the Hessischer Rundfunk then emerged.nbsp;
