Contor: Beckerstr 13 / I HG. - Hugo Max Oppenheim was born on April 30, 1861. His parents were Isaac Oppenheim, born on July 18, 1822 in Köln, and Berta Mayer, born on May 17, 1841 in Mainz. Hugo Max Oppenheim was married to Betty Maron, born on February 2, 1872 in Dresden. The couple had four children - Fritz, born on October 3, 1895 - died in the First World War on September 19, 1918 as a lieutenant in the 7th Infantry Regiment 181 in Hollebeke, West Flanders, Belgium. - Wilhelm Alexander, born on 22 March 1897 in Chemnitz - died on 9 June 1941 in Glasgow, Scotland - Anna Luise, married name Mandel, born on 15 January 1904 in Chemnitz, - murdered on 19 February 1943 in the Auschwitz concentration camp and Hugo Oppenheim. Hugo Max Oppenheim, Gustav Heidenheim's brother-in-law, joined the glove factory as a partner in 1886. After Gustav Heidenheim retired for health reasons, Adolph Goldschmidt, who had worked for the company as a traveling salesman and authorized signatory almost since its foundation, became a partner in the company. From then on under the name " Heidenheim,Oppenheim & Co. " . Adolpf Goldschmidt died on December 24, 1916 - Hugo Oppenheimer died on April 17, 1921. After their deaths, the company was taken over by Oppenheim's heirs - mainly Dr. Wilhelm Oppenheim. Wilhelm emigrated to Scotland with his wife and son in 1939. His widow Betty Oppenheim continued to run the company until it was deleted from the commercial register in 1939. In the fall of 1939, Betty Oppenheim fled to Holland with her grandchildren Inge Elisabeth and Stefanie. Daughter Anna and her husband Emanuel Mandel remained in Germany.
