He was married to Marianne Nanette Erlanger, who was born in Bad Buchau on January 15, 1808. KOsmann and Max Dreifuß settled in Ulm as merchants and founded the company " Mayer Dreyfuß Söhne ". Kosmann Dreyfuß's son Martin, born on May 10, 1865 in Ulm, later joined the company as an authorized signatory. Kosmann Dreyfuss was an active churchwarden in the Jewish community of Ulm for 23 years. On his retirement from the church council at the beginning of 1891, a trophy was dedicated and presented to him by the entire committee for his many years of work for the benefit of the Jewish community.
