Dr. Richard Landauer was born in München in 1892, he later became a publisher (founded "Delphin-Verlag" in 2011), this publishing house is not identical with the children's and non-fiction publishing house "Delphin Verlag based in Küln.
In 1922, he married Edith Landauer, née Hirsch (daughter of Cilly and Hirsch (daughter of Cilly and Adolf Hirsch); children: Eva-Maria, born on December 26, 1922 in Munich; Stefan Klaus Robert on January 9, 1925 in Munich; Robert Felix on February 18, 1927 in Munich.
In October 10, 1933, the family moves from Munich to Landshut, and the publishing house is also relocated to Landshut. Residential address: Theaterstr. 55 - 57, III. floor. They move into an apartment above the department store and Dr. Richard Landauer (together with Mr. Helmut Teichner) becomes managing director of the department store Hermann Tietz Nachf. (takeover from Adolf Hirsch).
In 1938, the family manages to flee to England after Dr. Richard Landauer is able to sell his publishing house to another publisher at a low price. The family moves to London/England and changes their name to Landor. In 1942, Edith Landor dies of food poisoning (other sources mention pneumonia).
After the end of the war, Dr. Richard Landauer/Landor returns to Bavaria and lives in Feldafing. He died there in 1960 in a traffic accident; his children all remained in England.
