In 1929, the Hirsch family moved into the villa on Brühfeldweg (former house number 182, today Brühfeldweg 18/corner of Drüxlmairweg 14)
On February 26, 1942, the Hirsch villa on Brühfeldweg was sold to the German Reichspost.Cilly Hirsch dies after falling from a balcony in 1941, Adolf Hirsch is murdered in the Theresienstadt ghetto in 1943.
"Cilly" (Cäcilie Hirsch, née Lissmann) was an aunt of the famous actress Lilli Palmer. Her biography "Dicke Lilli, gutes Kind" also describes visits to Landshut. The desperate attempts to persuade Cilly and her husband Adolf to remain in England are also mentioned in the book. When the Gestapo came to pick up the Hirsch couple, Cilli Hirsch fell from the balcony and succumbed to her serious injuries a day later. The house is sold to the German Reichspost in 1942; after numerous conversions, hardly anything remains of its original condition. The building is now a residential complex with several condominiums and garages; only in the rear part of the garden (view from Dräxlmairweg) are two smaller garden houses/outbuildings in Art Nouveau style still preserved.
