Jacob Eisen was born on July 2, 1879 in Gunzenhausen. His parents were the merchant Heymann Eisen and Jette Eisen, née Schoen. Jacob Eisen had an older sister - Berta, married Groß, born on January 10, 1878. Jacob Eisen married Rosa Neumarck, born in 1876 in Georgensgmünd, daughter of Emmanuel Neumark and Klara, née Gutmann, in Ansbach in 1906. As early as 1907, they acquired the house at Burgstallstra<e 4, rebuilt it and ran a raw materials business there. On August 1, 1908, their daughter Betty was born. 21 years later, in 1929, Betty Eisen married the businessman Max Rosenbaum and moved to Munich. Jacob Eisen's business went well. In 1913, Jacob Eisen was the second chairman of the Jewish Community of Gunzenhausen. When the National Socialists seized power in 1933, everything changed in Gunzenhausen - marginalization and riots against the Jewish citizens increased more and more. As early as December 1934, the coal business was handed over, followed by the sale of the property at Burgstallstrasse 4 in 1935. At the end of 1937, the hides and fur business in Gunzenhausen was finally deregistered. In March 1936, Jacob and Rosa Eisen moved to München to live with their daughter Betty Rosenbaum at Herzog-Heinrich-Stra<e 3/II. Jacob Eisen also ran his hides and skins business there only until July 18, 1938, after the Munich city administration refused to issue a trade license for the procurement of raw products in February 1938. Emigration attempts at the end of 1941 failed. Daughter Betty and husband Max Rosenbaum emigrated to the USA via Amsterdam as early as December 1938. Jacob and Rosa Eisen as well as his sister Bertha Groß and husband Joseph were deported from Munich via Augsburg - Regensburg to Piaski on April 4, 1942 and murdered there.
