Businessman Alfred Saulmann, born on 11.09.1893 in Heringsdorf, ran the clothing store ‘Saulmann‘ in Heringsdorf (Wilhelmstraße, today Friedenstraße 17) together with his younger brother Erich.
The unmarried Alfred Saulmann lived together with his grandmother Elise Saulmann, née. Wiele, born on 29.11.68 in Lippehne, in house no. 13 of Wilhelmstraße (today Friedenstraße).
On February 12, 1940, Alfred Saulmann was deported together with his grandmother via Stettin to the transit ghetto Piaski Luterskiei in the Lublin district of the Generalgouvernement. Grandmother Elise Saulmann (72) died on February 25, 1940, 12 days after the deportation. Alfred Saulmann was murdered in October 1941.
