In Nürnberg - Fürther Industrie Almanach 1. 1870 the following entry is found: Wassermann Adolph, merchant, Nürnberger Manufakturgegenstände en gros, Lager in Pfeifenwaaren, Rosengasse 19. - The postcard is addressed to the Silbermann brothers in Hausen, who operated a porcelain factory there, where among other things pipe bowls were manufactured. - Adolf Wassermann was born in Zirndorf on July 19, 1844. His parents were Max Wassermann from Roth am Sand and Rosette, née Krailsheimer. Adolf Wassermann was married twice - in 1.marriage with Henriette, née Traub, born 1850 in Sommerhausen - died on 5.September 1882. he had fünf children: Carl Jakob, born 10.3.1873 (the writer Jakob Wassermann) - Albert born 21.4.1874 - dece. 5.5.1874 - Jenny b. 12.9.1875 - Hugo 12.9.1877 (emigrated to North America) - Alfred b. 22.2.1882 - dece. 2.2.1883. In 2nd marriage he was married to Flora Wannbacher, born on August 9, 1856 in Hagenbach. The couple had three children: - Theodor born 10.2.1885, - Armin born 27.6.1887, - Henri, born 16.2.1891 in Würzburg. Adolf Wasserman was a merchant, toy manufacturer and insurance agent. From the end of May 1883, together with Johann Konrad Lägel, Adolf Wassermann operated a wooden goods manufacturing - casket joinery - company Wassermann u. Lägel. From 1884 he was the sole proprietor, initially still under the same name. From 1886 then under the name Wassermann, Adolf, sole owner of the Nuremberg wood products factory Adolf Wassermann. Around 1890, Adolf Wassermann decided to change his career and started working as an insurance agent. From July 1890 he was resident in Würzburg, from April 1893 until the end of October 1894 in München, from November 1894 then in Nürnberg.Presumably he was resident in Nürnberg until his death in 1901
