Perfin stamp of the company Rosenfeld & Co. - Perfin - abbreviation for " Perforated Initials ". - Mostly the initial letters of the company or symbols were used for this purpose. Perforations served mainly as protection against theft. Companies, departments and authorities with a large stock of stamps marked their stamps this way. This made them unusable for private use by employees and staff.
