Law firm - Dr. Kurt Sonnenfeld

In the Berlin address book 1917 the following entry is found: Sonnenfeld Kurt, Dr. jur., Rechtsanw. b. Landgericht I.  S.W.68, Wohn. W.50 - Ansbacher Str. 37 -  Dr. Kurt Sonnenfeld was born on April 12, 1892 in Berlin. When the National Socialists came to power, Dr. Kurt Sonnenfeld was also banned from practicing medicine. In the years 1933 - 1938 Dr. Kurt Sonnenfeld was a representative of Allianz and Stuttgarter Versicherung. Alternatively, he sought other professional employment opportunities. In 1937 he passed the examination to become a state-certified masseur. On May 15, 1938, Dr. Kurt Sonnenfeld and his family emigrated to The Hague. On September 29, 1938, they continued their flight to Panama. On January 11, 1939 they reached New York. There he lived together with his wife until his death on October 17, 1964.
