Siegmund Stern was born on April 10, 1884 in Ostercappeln . In 1927 he had moved with his wife Karoline and their children from Ostercappeln to Bohmte. In 1938 he was imprisoned in Buchenwald concentration camp . On December 13, 1941 he was deported from Münster to the Riga Ghetto here.

Karoline Stern was born on April 23, 1887 as Karoline Heumann in Wassenberg . She was married to Siegmund Stern and had two daughters, Else and Grete. On December 13, 1941, she was deported from Münster to the Riga ghetto. The töchters were able to escape üto England via the Netherlands. They then lived in Australia.
