Simon Schwarz was born on 18 February 1877 in Freren. On December 11, 1941 he was üvia Osnabrück deported on December 13, 1941 with the so-called Bielefeld transport to the Riga ghetto and on November 2, 1943 to the Auschwitz extermination camp, where he was murdered while still in November 1943.

Erich Schwarz was born on June 30, 1908 in Freren. He lived last in Essen. In 1933 he was imprisoned in the forced labor camp Torgau . He fled to Belgium and was deported there to the internment camp Saint Cyprien on May 10-15, 1940. He was then taken to the Drancy collection camp and deported to the Auschwitz extermination camp on August 10, 1942.
