Dietrich 'David' Hamburger was born on April 16, 1885 in Meppen. He fled in 1939 to his daughter to Winterswijk in the Netherlands. He üsurvived in hiding underground and died in an accident in 1958. He is buried in the Jüdische cemetery in Winterswijk.

murdered 10.9.1943 Elisabeth Hamburger was born on September 2, 1915 as the daughter of David Hamburger in Fürstenau. On May 5, 1938, she fled to Winterswijk in the Netherlands, where she married Bernard Nathan Jacob Menko on May 31, 1938, and gave birth to twins Rose Amalia and Jacob on February 28, 1940. From October 6, 1942 to September 7, 1943, she was imprisoned in the Westerbork collection camp and then deported to the Auschwitz death camp. Dated September 10, 1943, she was later declared dead.
