The cemetery and memorial site is located in the forest on the banks of the Lech River in a nature reserve (Edenthalstraße).The cemetery was established in connection with victims from Camp VIII of the Landsberg/Kaufering subcamp complex. There were 22 dead buried here during the existence of the camp. Presumably, the first temporary memorial was erected in 1946 by survivors of Camp VIII on a square ground plan with a wooden picket fence, an entrance door and a wooden stele with a Star of David and inscription - naming 21 dead. In 1950 there was a new memorial design, in 2009 the renovation with fortification of the access to the cemetery.Above the mass grave there is a memorial stone in a brick Star of David with permanent planting. The inscription reads: "We were Jews / that was our fault. Built by the Bavarian State Government in 1956. "The design of the site was based on a design by architect Ernst Rücker (Nuremberg) in 1950, monument by sculptor Theodor Mallener, execution stonemasonry company Eduard Weiher (Schwabmünchen). Two information boards, which were erected on the initiative of the citizens' forum "Buntes Fuchstal", provide information about the history of the site since 2020.
