Ladies clothing store - Isaak Klein

Isaak Klein was born on July 29, 1846 in Poppenlauer. His wife was Sophie Cromwell, born in Gunzenhausen. The couple married on August 4,1879 and had four children - Lina, born on 7.Jni 1880 in Poppenlauer, - Gerdi, born on 15.März 1882 in Poppenlauer, - Siegfried, born on. May 30, 1884 in Gunzenhausen, - Theodor, born March 3, 1886 in Gunzenhausen. The couple ran a ladies' clothing store at Gerberstra;e 7 and lived at Burgstallstra;e 1. The two daughters Lina and Gerdi married and lived in Berlin. Around 1914, son Theodor took over the business and continued it together with his wife Erna, née Kohn. Isaak and Sophie Klein moved to Berlin to live with their parents. In 1934 the Klein couple sold the business, perhaps still under the shock of the pogrom of March 25, 1934, to the carpenter Gottlieb Abel, who continued the business with additional carpentry.
